We’ve fired Architect #2.
We were initially happier with him than with Architect #1, but as things progressed, we realized we still weren’t really being listened to. We still weren’t entirely happy with the plans. And we weren’t happy with the information we’d received from his references and his lackadaisical attitude toward design.
We’re working with someone else now, who’s not an architect. Most people would say that’s a bad move. Most people would also probably say we shouldn’t trust ourselves to be good judges of character anymore, but we’re giving ourselves one more shot.
