We’ve been shopping… dragging the poor children from one appliance store to another… answering questions like “How to you prepare your food now?” (Open pit) and “Would you like to try out the cooktop?” (No, but can I test out the shower? Here, hold my pants.).
We kept hearing about induction cooktops. The kind that you can’t have if you have a metal plate or pacemaker because they cook using magnetism.
Nope. I can’t figure it out either.
At our new favorite appliance store we asked for a demonstration. So Mr. Salesguy filled a pot with water, put it on the cooktop, turned the dial to “ouchie” and voila… two minutes later there was boiling water.
We. Must. Have.
So you see, a watched pot does indeed boil and that’s how we got the name for this blog.
