Part of the joy of renovating a kitchen is getting a free pass to spend tens of thousands of dollars on things your parents never imagined they needed.
Like a warming drawer.
Somehow we wall grew up fine, our parents were fine and our grandparents made it through the Depression without warming drawers. The pioneers made it across the Great Plains not only short of second dishwashers, but without dishwashers at all.
But dammit, we need that warming drawer because someday we might need to warm up a casserole!
